Grading:
Grading will be 50% from homework assignments and 50%
from a final exam. Some assignments
will be worth more points depending upon the length of the assignment.
Because this is a 5-week class, most homework will have a quick
turnaround. Homework will be due
at 5:00 p.m. on the day appointed.
There will be a 20% reduction in points for
each day the homework is late. We will take time in class to discuss
questions regarding the homework the day it is due.
This will give you time to put the finishing touches on your homework
before it is due at the end of the day.
The regulation found in
Part 3, Section E-6 of the General Catalog reads:
The assignment of grades and corrections of grades are the sole
prerogative of the instructor and are reported by the instructor directly to
the Registrar’s Office via the UI Faculty Web.
All grades except I and IP are considered final when assigned by an
instructor at the end of a term.
An instructor may request a grade correction when a computational or
procedural error occurred in the original assignment of a grade.
No final grade may be revised as a result of re-examination or the
submission of additional work after the close of the semester
“Disability Support
