Executive Summary
The Agribusiness Club is an inter-departmental
club for the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural
Sociology. Membership in the club is open to all majors and provides
the opportunity for people to gather who share an interest in
agribusiness. Our officer team is composed of a President, Vice
President, Treasurer, Secretary, and two Agricultural Student
Affairs Council Representatives. Club members elect the officer team
for each academic year.
Our purpose is to expose students to potential
employers, inform them of internships, assist in resume development,
and improve club members' interviewing skills. We also encourage our
club members to improve their knowledge of the agribusiness industry
through educational activities such as field trips and guest
speakers. The club offers the opportunity for participation on a
national level through organizations such as the student section of
the American Agricultural Economics Association and the student
section of the National Agricultural Marketing Association. The
Agribusiness Club promotes networking with other student
organizations through participation in the College of Agriculture
Student Affairs Council and the Associated Students of the
University of Idaho.
